rob.webfusion.net Frequently Asked Questions

Site FAQ

What is the rob.webfusion.net site about?
This site is primarily here for me to test script ideas, receive feedback about these scripts, and to also fine tune them, getting rid of any bugs they may have.

What are the goals of the rob.webfusion.net site?
I am committed to bringing the best quality CGI scripts, to the visitors of this site, that I can. These scripts are all FREE. As they are free, and I'm not getting any money from this site (at the moment) I am having to do it all in my spare time.

You have a great site, can I advertise on it?
Yes. There is a great advertising opportunity within the rob.webfusion.net web site, as all the visitors are after a specific product, CGI/Perl scripts. Because of this they prove a superb target for anyone advertising CGI, Perl or web development technologies. To advertise on this site please e-mail me for details at rob@rob.webfusion.net

Scripts FAQ

Are all your CGI scripts FREE?
My scripts on the rob.webfusion.net site are all totally free.

I've just installed one of your scripts, but when I try to login, it says "Incorrect Login". What's wrong?
This problem has come up quite a lot. It appears that not all servers encrypt the password in the same way. Download and use my script Pass.pl form http://rob.webfusion.net/download/pass.pl. That should sort out the problem.

Do your scripts work on Windows NT?
I have no idea. I have only tested my scripts on Linux running Apache. (If anyone knows if my scripts can or can't work under NT, please let me know.)

Can I call your NewsDesk script via Server Side Include?
No.

Can I call your Adman banner.cgi script without Server Side Include?
No.
